Parent/Teacher Day Friday 28th March

By now all report cards have been sent home for the February Exams.  Parents day is on Friday the 28th of March and is a time for parents to discuss with teachers the progress of their child.  Please keep to the allocated time scheduled by the Form Head Teacher to ensure that all parents have time to meet. Please note, you may have to wait in order to meet with a subject teacher.  

Dinja Waħda – Environmental Walk 23th March ‘14

Our school is taking part in the Dinja Waħda activities for the second consecutive year. All the activities, thirty in all are found both in a book published by Birdlife Malta, as well as on the Dinja Waħda website. Bird Life Malta.

All the activities tie up with school syllabi and are very interesting, creative and educational.

This year the Senior School students have also been included in these activities. In addition our students are rangers because they take part in cleaning up certain parts of our diminishing countryside from the rubbish people leave behind while on picnics.

Last year the Newark School won the Gold Award – a very satisfying reward for all efforts.

The school hopes to see all parents and students taking part in environmental walk this year.

Dinja Wahda Activities:

• 23rd March: BirdLife Malta and the Bank of Valletta would like to invite everyone to attend the Dinja Waħda/Klabb Huttaf ‘Walk for Nature’ from Siggiewi parish square to Maqluba, on Sunday 23rd March, 8.30am-12.30pm

• 9th May: Clean up at Mellieħa (Rdum tal-Madonna)

• 25th April: Mr. Aloisio will give a green talk at Newark School to J4, J5 and 6.
